How to find a personal trainer at home?

The same method to choose a personal trainer at home can be applied to finding a personal trainer anywhere.

Deciding is easier when you can see the outcome that you want and when you want it badly enough you will be motivated to achieve this in the quickest time possible and therefore will naturally use someone that can help you to achieve your goals quickly

Determine exactly what you want to achieve?

Therefore, the first step is to be able to clearly see what you want to achieve and know why this is so important to you. Once you are clear about what you want and can see it your mind will start to move you to this outcome. Without this first step wherever you are training you will find it difficult to achieve any meaningful results since you are not clear about what you really desire and therefore anything you do will not have this focused end outcome.

Results

When looking at your various options now that you know precisely what you want to achieve it will be easier to select the right PT for you. Find out first of all if the personal trainer themselves are getting the sort of results that you want. The first results that you should consider is the trainers results. What is their ability to be able to walk their own talk. Do they look the way you desire and have the level of fitness that you want. If not, I would personally walk away. If they cannot do it with themselves, how are they going to be able to do it for you. I remember one a trainer who was trying to sign me up and I was in better shape than them and in my mind, it didn’t make sense, so I didn’t sign up. Then look at the trainers results with actual clients.

Experience.

It useful to see how long this person has been working in the field. This will give you an idea how successful the person has been because they are unlikely to survive for long if they have not managed to get great results with clients. Also, it will indicate that they are likely to have experienced a range of different circumstances. This also links in with the next point. To really be able to make a difference especially in a vocation like this where more than any other the persons passion will determine how likely they are to get consistent results. This is not the type of job that I have ever seen any be able to do in a half-hearted manner and expect to get great results.

Clear structure to get results

If somebody is looking to lose weight and just does exercise, they have got no chance to achieve the results that they want. Therefore, it will also include nutrition in some form because it is very true saying that “abs are built in the kitchen”. However, from my experience even it you give someone the perfect nutrition and set of exercises to do they will not do it unless they have the right mindset and the results will last longer and become a permanent transformation the deeper, they have the outcome they want in their unconscious mind. The unconscious mind plays an important role here because unless the outcome is deeply in the persons unconscious mind it is very difficult to make any real change because their deepest thoughts will always sabotage their outcome. Also there needs to be a clear way to measure the outcomes that the person is getting. Otherwise, as I have seen people doing exercises for years and achieve nothing because they didn’t know what they wanted in the first place and there was no measurable outcome at the end.

Can I get great results training at home?

The good news yes you can! But maybe not in the way you expected. As a trainer that has been training people for over 10 years, I can assure you that unless you want to look like Arnold Schwarzenegge that you absolutely can. First of all, determine if you want to train at home.

Advantages and disadvantages of training from home.

Apart from the obvious advantages of saving time. Not having to wait for a piece of equipment to become available as you wait for the person who is just staring at themselves in the mirror as they flex their arms. You don’t waste time travelling to the gym. Therefore, for all these reasons are thinking it is a good idea to train at home. But apart from all these advantages you are probably thinking can I really get great results at home if I haven’t got state of the art equipment at home. Well, I cover that one later.

What equipment do I need to train from home.

You are may have been looking browsing on the internet and looking at the latest machine that can help you exercise and achieve your goals while you watch telly at home and I relishing the prospect of finally having a way to make exercise something fun you do. Well before you do anything please ready the following very carefully because it will save you a lot of wasted money, time and mean that you don’t end up with a large piece of equipment that you not only don’t use but is taking up so much precious space and you curse at every time you walk by because you know you still haven’t achieved any results.

Well don’t be upset if I tell you that all you actually need to train at home or anywhere to get good results are good pair of resistance bands. I can hear you saying you must be joking. How can a resistance band compare to the latest state of equipment machine found in the local gym. Well for one thing your body cannot tell the difference between the resistance coming from bands and the lastest state of the art machine. Also, most of the machines could be used ineffectively and not give the same benefit. And, most of the results that you will achieve comes down to your mind and how focused you are and how deeply you concentrate while you are doing the exercise. Sometimes people exercising at the gym can be giving so little attention to what they are doing because they are talking to their friends or listening to the music or just not getting the full benefit from the machine because they are just moving the equipment without getting a mind body connection to what they are doing.

What are the key things need to consider when training from home?

Am I willing to invest in someone to make sure that I show up and perform the exercises with the correct intensity and form to achieve the results that I want. Have, I got a nutrition plan that will enable me to achieve the results I want. Is my mindset to follow through be eating the right things and exercising at a the right time and to track my results to make sure I am making progress.
